Thank You and To Be Continued

It’s been an honor and privilege to meet so many neighbors, engage with the community, and speak to friends about our priorities for Solana Beach. My campaign has been about sharing a positive message about the future of Solana Beach, and I look forward to continuing to engage with the network we have built as part of this process. Together we can make our city an even more amazing place for everyone.

I ran on a platform of forward thinking leadership to tackle the big problems we face, such as addressing climate change and the housing crisis. We knew this would be a tough battle facing an incumbent. No matter the outcome, this experience has better prepared me to take on new challenges, and more effectively advocate for our district, our city and residents like you.

While Kristi and I may differ on some of our priorities for the city, we all want the best for Solana Beach. I wish the best for her as city councilmember over the next four years. I’m excited that my message resonated with so many people, and I will continue to stay involved and fight for the things I believe in. Don’t be surprised if I make another run for city council in four years.

I also want to take a moment to thank the campaign team. Despite this being her first time as a campaign manager, Shawna made this all possible and was hands-down amazing the entire time. Rachel, Peter, and Jonathan provided invaluable advice, counsel, and editorial services throughout the campaign. I couldn’t have done any of this without them, and look forward to working with them again on the next campaign.
